Jess Mullins

MS Student in Museum and Field Studies
Picture
Hi, there! I'm Jess, thanks for taking the time to stop by. I am currently an MS student in Museum and Field Studies at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History. My coursework focuses on museum collection management and for my thesis I am studying wild bee community response to a catastrophic flood. I have been fascinated by wild bees ever since I first stepped foot in a museum collection and saw a drawer of metallic green bees. Over the last decade, I have pursued one bee research opportunity after the next working in several labs focused on wild bee research. My interests range from bee parasites to nest architecture and I am always curious to learn more. I am currently seeking to continue my research as a PhD student.
